Jason Rocks! My 100th post!

So Jason is always writing/saying 'Jason Rocks!' He wrote it on one friends car in the dust so much that it affected the paint, staying on the care, requiring him to wax it for hours. So that is the theme I we nt with for his 30th bday celebration. He does not like themes, or decorations, or to make a big to do out of stuff- but yet somehow we still work out perfectly ;) We just had a lil party for him the Friday before his birthday, ordering pizza, snacking on the rock items.

Jason rocks on one side...

30 Blows on the other!
(Thanks Trac for the blows vs sucks:)
Jason rocks Banner courtesy of Cricut :)

There was rock candy on a stick, jelly rock candy, chocolate rock candy, Pop Rocks, and RingPops aka
Rocks for your finger- get it? :)  There were also Pixy Stix thrown in just because I knew J and a few of his friends liked them. I also found some Camp Rock punching balloons. They were in the Rock n Roll records bowls i had made for him last year too.
He wanted to see how big it could get...

Yup! He got it big enough to pop, and freak those out in other rooms of the house :)

He was a good sport :)

Some of the rocks his family found and wrapped for him!

He requested a Funfetti Cake

Bday rocks! Love it!

Academy of Country Music Awards

Oh yeah. This? I forgot to mention that my mom and I got to attend this back in April. No biggie. We just got the opportunity to see 30+ country stars. In Vegas. For free. It was only the most amazing experience ever!

From our seats

We were pretty darn close to the stage!

This is in fromt of the little after party/concert :-)

Toby Keith. Pretty sure I was not even utilizing my zoom here...

My mom and I kinda rock ;)

Posing with the program.. yes, I am well aware I am a dork
Especially since when I decide to play catch up with my blog it is not in order :)

Fourth of July fun

We were supposed to be camping over the 4th.Then the huge fires happened and camping was rescheduled.  My new plans were to help host a celebration at the man friends house. The cupcakes below were made for the pool party we attended earlier in the day, but I was that girl and took a few back home for our party too. Nothin big... just a few family members... but I couldn't not make everything festive :)

BBQ cupcakes :)

Sparklers- that wouldn't light-
at least they looked good right? ;)

red White and Blue Jello:)

30 sucks

I had seen this cute idea all over, and unfortunately
cannot recall where I saw it originally.
Please don't report me to the blog police.
Also, please act surprised when you receive something similar:)

Cupids arrows and Cheesecake strawberries

I felt the need to make something Valentine's related.
These were easier than easy.
Cinnamon gummy hearts.
Pretzel sticks.
Waa la.

Shoved a few in a bag, added the cute
'Cupid's Arrows' tag, and shoved the bags in a fun Valentine-y box
Idea seen here

My friend had been talking about cheesecake stuffed strawberries
forever. Finally, when he was about to go back onto his stupid diet,
I found the motivation to attempt them.
Don't mind the crappy pictures- apparently my camera
was on some horrible setting that I could not undo.
Pathetic, I know. But it has since been resolved
and I am back to better, brighter pics again.
They're no Rebel pics, but shoot if I can't
figure out my lil point n shoot, theres no hope :)

First cut and hull the strawberries.
It seriously makes me smile that they  are standing up :)

Fill 'em up with cheesecake.
Oh yeah. Make sure its the no bake kind..
Sadly, my favorite recipe was not,
so I opted for the Jello- No Bake..
it still got the vote in the end.

Then, dip it in chocolate, and graham crackers.
One or the other or both.
I of course opted to go with both.
I apparently was supposed to do just graham crackers.
Those ones are actually kinda prettier.
Not that you'd know, since I failed with the after pics.
Then again, even if I had taken some, they wouldve sucked.
At least they tasted good. :)
